Once you have been offered a teaching appointment, you must download, print, and complete the forms listed below. You can also obtain a copy of these forms directly from Thom Wall, Coordinator of Graduate Studies, Department of Government, CGIS N151-C. Questions concerning teaching policies and payroll procedures should be directed to Thom Wall at 495-2149 or graduate@gov.harvard.edu.

Senior Thesis Reading: Government graduate students who serve as Teaching Fellows will be required to read and grade Senior Theses as part of their teaching responsibilities. Please contact the Undergraduate Office, at 495-3249, for additional information.

To get paid for Core appointments, you must contact the Core Office directly: (617) 495-2563, 77 Dunster St.

NOTE: Due to differences in the academic calendar and the University's Payroll calendar, Teaching Fellows typically receive their first paycheck in the second month of the term (2 months pay). Teaching Fellows get paid in the middle of every month (typically the 15th) and Teaching Assistants (non-Harvard students) get paid at the end of every month.

I-9 (if you have been on any Harvard payroll within the last 12 months, you do not need to submit a new I-9) A photocopy of two forms of identification as specified by the I-9 form

Direct deposit form (if you wish to have your check directly deposited into your bank account)

Foreign National Information Form

Your curriculum vitae (MANDATORY FOR THOSE NOT ENROLLED IN THE GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT GRADUATE PROGRAM)

And return them (stapled together) to Thom Wall.
